The striker is in confident mood after scoring twice in the win over Bastia on Saturday
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has warned Real Madrid that Paris Saint-Germain are ready for them after scoring twice in his side’s 2-0 win over Bastia.
Both of the striker’s goals came in the final 20 minutes of Saturday’s Ligue 1 encounter as PSG maintained their five-point lead at the top of the table.
Laurent Blanc’s side are now unbeaten in 10 league matches and have also won their opening two games in this season’s Champions League.
"It's a good result against Bastia, because we have beaten a difficult team to play against,” the 34-year-old told Sport24.
“We remembered our bad result here last season [in which PSG lost 4-2],
but today we took the three points and continued our effort to win
titles.”
PSG will have little time to stew on their latest win,
though, with thoughts quickly turning to Madrid’s visit to the French
capital in the week.
Like the Parisiens, Rafael Benitez’s side are also yet to taste defeat
in the league this season and have taken maximum points from their two
games in Europe.
The clash between the two, therefore, could be
decisive in deciding who will claim top spot in a group which also
features Malmo and Shakhtar Donetsk.
“Wednesday's game against Real Madrid will be completely different,” Zlatan added.
“We will play at home against one of the best teams in the world, it
will be fun to play. Now we can focus on that and we are ready for
them."
